Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked ETV and 14th ranked Westerstede had identical 7-13 record. But Westerstede was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Hamburg 100-72 on Sunday night. ETV dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Westerstede's 24. ETV forced 23 Westerstede turnovers and outrebounded them 47-36 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Tyseem Lyles (188, college: Mercy) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Lithuanian guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Five ETV players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian-Bosnian power forward Sandro Antunovic (207-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Franjo Borchers (190-93) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively. ETV (8-13) moved-up to twelfth place in North. Westerstede lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. ETV will face higher ranked Goetting.ASC (#3) in Goettingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Westerstede will play on the road against WSG Koenigs (#7) in Wildau and hope to win that game.
