We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Muenchen OSB (7-11) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Vilsbiburg (8-11) 83-73 on Sunday. Vilsbiburg outrebounded Muenchen OSB 42-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Muenchen OSB was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Josef Leierseder (184-96) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jermaine Lippert (203-90, college: Detroit Mercy) who recorded 15 points and American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vilsbiburg moved-up to eighth place in South-East, which they share with Ansbach. Muenchen OSB lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Vilsbiburg will face Goldbach (#14) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Muenchen OSB will play against Ansbach (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
