Regular Season Round 23: Rostock - Heidelberg 77-69

An interesting game for Rostock (15-8) which hosted in Rostock 4th placed MLP Academics Heidelberg (14-9). Third ranked Rostock managed to get a 8-point victory 77-69. Rostock players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Tony Hicks (186-94, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Rostock's coach Milan Skobalj allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Shyron Ely (193-87, college: Evansville, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 15 points and the other American import guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: New Hampshire) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted Rostock maintains third place with 15-8 record having just one point less than leader Chemnitz. MLP Academics Heidelberg at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Ehingen. Rostock will play against Uni Baskets (#13) in Paderborn in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MLP Academics Heidelberg will play at home against Ehingen/Urspringschule (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
