The biggest surprise of round 23 was guest Elazig's (#2) road victory over Bayrakli (#3) 78-69 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bayrakli. The best player for the winners was American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Asli Sevinc (178-79, agency: FlyBasketball) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Elazig players scored in double figures. American power forward Patricia Bright (193-91, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) produced 30 points and forward Eyfel Akar (185-87, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) added 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Elazig maintains second place with 17-6 record having five points less than leader Cankaya. Bayrakli at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Mardin BSB and Urla BLD. Elazig are looking forward to face Nesibe (#9) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayrakli will play on the road against Edremit (#11) in Balikesir and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
