There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Aci Koleji (11-12) was crushed at home by eleventh ranked Edremit (10-13) 85-66. They made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Edremit outrebounded Aci Koleji 51-27 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Aci Koleji's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Fahriye Bayraktar (185-95) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Ebru Aslan (-88) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Edremit's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Merve Uygul (170-88) came up with 21 points and 4 assists and the former international Busra Akgun (183-93) added 16 points respectively for Aci Koleji in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Edremit. They maintain eleventh place with 10-13 record. Aci Koleji lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Edremit's next round opponent will be higher ranked Bayrakli (#4) and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
