Very predictable result when seventh ranked WSG Koenigs (11-10) won against 14th ranked Westerstede (7-15) in Wildau 75-66 on Saturday. WSG Koenigs outrebounded Westerstede 40-26 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Christoph Tetzner (201-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Desmond Medder (188, college: Pikeville) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four WSG Koenigs players scored in double figures. Marcello Schroeder (195-87) replied with 17 points and Alexander Hopp (201-1) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Westerstede. WSG Koenigs moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Bergedorf and Rendsburg. Westerstede lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. WSG Koenigs will face Rendsburg (#5) on the road in the next round. Westerstede will play against Goetting.ASC (#3) in Goettingen and hope to win that game.
