Regular Season Round 22: Langenhagen - Stahnsdorf 55-85
Date: February 23, 2019
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Langenhagen (10-12) was outscored at home by second ranked RSV Eintracht (16-4) 85-55 on Saturday. RSV Eintracht looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Matthew Dogan (201-94, college: Gannon) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Point guard Tim Brauner (185-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Michael Harvey (196-90, college: Portland St.) added 15 points in the effort for Langenhagen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RSV Eintracht have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in North with 16-4 record having just three points less than leader Duesseldorf. Langenhagen lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. RSV Eintracht will face ALBA-2 (#15) in Berlin in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Langenhagen will play on the road against Vechta-2 (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
