Regular Season Round 24: Walter Tigers - Chemnitz 80-98

ProA top team - Chemnitz (18-5) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked Walter Tigers (10-13) in Tuebingen 98-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Walter Tigers. Chemnitz dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Walter Tigers' 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Walter Tigers' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Ivan Elliott (203-86, college: UCSB) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Lukas Wank (199-97) who added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Reed Timmer (185-95, college: Drake) with 22 points and center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Walter Tigers' coach Aleksandar Nadjfeji rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Chemnitz maintains first position with 18-5 record. Walter Tigers at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Chemnitz are looking forward to face Nuernberg (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Walter Tigers will play against White Wings (#15) in Hanau and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
