Regular Season Round 22: Bayer Giants - Loewen 103-75

ProB top team - Bayer Giants (21-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Loewen (10-12) in Leverkusen 103-75. Bayer Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Loewen's 22. They outrebounded Loewen 43-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Bayer Giants players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Alexander Blessig (188-93, college: Rollins) fired 22 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. American forward Nick Hornsby (201-95, college: Sacramento St.) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. Coach Hansi Gnad's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Maximilian Kuhle (184-91) produced 28 points and 4 assists and American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) added 8 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Bayer Giants have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 21-1 record. Newly promoted Loewen keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost.
