Seventh-ranked Lemvig (2-11) gave a tough game to first ranked Horsholm (12-1) on Saturday. Horsholm managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected much easier game. American forward Layne Murphy (185-94, college: Chicago St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and forward Caroline Bornemann (177-1) chipped in 11 points. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Natalee Faupel (178-95, college: MSU-Northern) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Makenzie Miller (-95, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. Lemvig at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Vaerlose. Horsholm are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Vaerlose (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lemvig will play against Amager in Kastrup and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
