There was no surprise when 13th ranked ETV (8-14) lost to third ranked Goetting.ASC (16-5) in Hamburg 94-103 on Sunday. Goetting.ASC forced 21 ETV turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. It was a very good performance for swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Lithuanian guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) replied with 31 points and 8 rebounds and forward Marcel Hoppe (196-98) added 24 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ETV. Five Goetting.ASC and four ETV players scored in double figures. Goetting.ASC have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position in North with 16-5 record having just two points less than leader Duesseldorf. Newly promoted ETV keeps the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. Goetting.ASC will face Westerstede (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ETV's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Hamburg to the arena Bergedorf.
