Regular Season Round 24: Phoenix Hagen - Art.Dragons 64-67

A very interesting game took place in Hagen. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (12-10) to twelfth ranked Artland Dragons (11-13) 67-64 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Phoenix Hagen. It was a good game for Lithuanian power forward Danielius Lavrinovicius (205-99) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Pierre Bland (188-92, college: PFW) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons' coach Florian Hartenstein allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Alex Herrera (206-92, college: Fort Lewis, agency: Two Points) replied with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Jannik Lodders (198-92) added 14 points in the effort for Phoenix Hagen. Artland Dragons moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Kirchheim. Phoenix Hagen at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Artland Dragons' next round opponent will be higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#4) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
