Very expected game when 9th ranked Izmit (8-12) was smashed by fourth ranked Botas (15-5) in Adana 76-53. The best player for the winners was American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. International point guard Olcay Cakir-Turgut (182-93, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Botas players scored in double figures. The former international center Ceyda Sinan (179-84, agency: FlyBasketball) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Alexa Hart (190-95, college: Ohio St.) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Botas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Hatay. Izmit lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Botas' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Fenerbahce in Istanbul and it will be for sure the game of the week. Izmit will play at home against Canik Belediye (#12) and hope to win that game.
