Regular Season Round 20: KOS - Mustangs 88-85

A very close game took place in Klagenfurt between KOS and Mustangs. Ninth ranked KOS (8-12) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Mustangs (10-10). KOS managed to escape with a 3-point win 88-85 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 29-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. KOS made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Slovenian point guard Jan Razdevsek (185-0) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and Slovenian center Jaka Stemberger (201-92) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Czech forward Vladimir Sismilich (202-85) did not help to save the game for Mustangs. Czech guard Michal Semerad (190-89) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Five KOS and four Mustangs players scored in double figures. KOS have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 8-12 record. Loser Mustangs keep the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Flames. KOS will meet higher ranked UBC St. Polten (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mustangs will play against Raiders in Villach and hope to secure a win.
