Shumen (1-1) recorded its first loss in Samokov on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Rilski 2 (2-1) 96-92. Rilski 2 forced 20 Shumen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rilski 2 made 7 blocks. Swingman Miroslav Vasov (199-98) fired 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Vasil Popov (190-2) chipped in 20 points. Four Rilski 2 players scored in double figures. Swingman Anton Dikov (190-94) produced 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and power forward Kiril Kirilov (205-94) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Rilski 2 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Champion 2006. Shumen at the other side dropped to the eighth position with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
