There was no surprise when 8th ranked Vinnystkiye M. (4-19) was defeated on the road by second ranked Kyiv Basket (21-2) 76-71 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vinnystkiye M. was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Vinnystkiye M. 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Kyiv Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international guard Ievgeniia Spitkovska (174-88) had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Veronika Liubinets (188-99) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest.
