Kyiv Basket was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (201-82, college: Binghamton) stepped up and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and Canadian-Nigerian guard Keith Omoerah (194-92, college: Manitoba) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin Milos Latkovic (196-93) with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international power forward Viacheslav Petrov (204-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Mykolaiv and five Kyiv Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mykolaiv maintains fifth place with 10-12 record. Newly promoted Kyiv Basket keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Mykolaiv will meet at home bottom-ranked Cherkasy (#8) in the next round. Kyiv Basket will play against Zaporizhye (#3) in Zaporozhye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
