The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Dynamo-NPU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Dynamo-NPU smashed 6th ranked BK Rivne in Kyiv 87-65. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo-NPU. BK Rivne managed to win fourth quarter 25-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
