Regular Season Round 14: SISU - Stevnsgade 72-77

The most important game in the last round took place in Copenhagen between second ranked SISU (8-6) and fifth ranked Stevnsgade (8-6) on Friday night. SISU was defeated by Stevnsgade in a tough game at home 72-77. SISU was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 29-22 charge of Stevnsgade, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely SISU outrebounded Stevnsgade 42-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Taylor Gleason (173-95, college: Oakland) who scored 27 points. Forward Mathilde Colding-Poulsen (176-95) chipped in 19 points. Gleason is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Stevnsgade's coach Hrannar Holm used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Canadian guard Nofuente Ceejay (176-93, college: Humber) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Chelsea Jennings (175-94, college: Texas A&M) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four SISU players scored in double figures. Stevnsgade have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated SISU.
