Regular Season Round 23: Vechta II - Langenhagen 87-75

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Langenhagen (10-13) lost on the road to tenth ranked Vechta-2 (10-11) 87-75 on Saturday. Vechta-2 forced 19 Langenhagen turnovers. Forward Nat-Sidi Diallo (205-0) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Luc Van-Slooten (203-2) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Vechta-2 players scored in double figures. Vechta-2's coach Hanno Stein used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Michael Harvey (196-90, college: Portland St.) answered with 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ole Korfhage (193-91) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Langenhagen. Vechta-2 moved-up to ninth place in North. Langenhagen lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Vechta-2 will face ALBA-2 (#15) in Berlin in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
