Regular Season Round 34: Niko-Basket - KDPU 83-89

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Mykolaiv. Second ranked KDPU faced one of their biggest challengers Niko-Basket. Guests from Kryvyi Rih (22-7) defeated host Niko-Basket (19-9) 89-83. Niko-Basket was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Power forward Vladyslav Frolov (202-98) scored 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (197-92) chipped in 30 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four KDPU players scored in double figures. At the losing side Stanislav Serpilin (193-93) responded with 32 points and forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-97) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted KDPU maintains second position with 22-7 record having ten points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU. Loser Niko-Basket keeps the third place with nine games lost. KDPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niko-Basket will play again against the league's second-placed KDPU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
