The game in Klaipeda supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Perlas (20-19) played at the court of seventh ranked Neptunas-Akv. (20-19). Neptunas-Akv. smashed Perlas 88-56 on Saturday. They outrebounded Perlas 43-32 including a 37-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neptunas-Akv. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Perlas' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Neptunas-Akv. made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Nojus Mineikis (200-0) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Forward Arunas Mikalauskas (202-97, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Domantas Vilys (188-0) who recorded 15 points and Tadas Vaiciunas (200-99) added 5 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas-Akv. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Perlas. Neptunas-Akv. will meet higher ranked Palanga (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Perlas will play against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga and hope to secure a win.
