There was no surprise in Kastrup where 7th ranked Lemvig (2-12) was defeated by third ranked Amager (9-5) 95-88 on Saturday. Amager made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Amager outrebounded Lemvig 44-23 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 27 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Samoan Geraldynn Leaupepe (-96) chipped in 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds during the contest. Amager's coach Lars Klussmann used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Natalee Faupel (178-95, college: MSU-Northern) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Bulgarian forward Mariya-Magdalena Kolyandrova (166-97) scored 27 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Amager moved-up to second place, which they share with Aabyhoj. Loser Lemvig keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
