Very predictable result when third ranked Goetting.ASC (17-5) won against 14th ranked Westerstede (7-16) in Goettingen 90-72 on Saturday. Goetting.ASC outrebounded Westerstede 44-23 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American center Matthew Husek (211, college: Holy Cross) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) contributed with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Croatian-Bosnian power forward Sandro Antunovic (207-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Marcello Schroeder (195-87) added 17 points in the effort for Westerstede. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Goetting.ASC. They moved-up to second place in North.
