There was no surprise in Kaunas where 10th ranked Tornado KM (4-15) was crushed by sixth ranked Mazeikiu SM (11-7) 117-73 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Mazeikiu SM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Tornado KM's 32. Mazeikiu SM forced 22 Tornado KM turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mazeikiu SM looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Tornado KM's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mazeikiu SM made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Kasparas Bruzas (187-2) who scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Edgaras Preibys (199-2) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds.
