No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Arkadia Lions (13-13) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (3-23) 91-70 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Arkadia Lions. Furstenfeld Panthers managed to win third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Arkadia Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) notched 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Aleksandar Andjelkovic (200-97) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Five Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. Even 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Bosnian guard Adnan Hajder (193-92) did not help to save the game for Furstenfeld Panthers. Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: DePaul) added 15 points and 5 assists for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arkadia Lions moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Wels. Furstenfeld Panthers lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Arkadia Lions will meet at home league's second-placed Kapfenberg Bulls in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Dukes (#4) and hope to secure a win.
