Second Stage Round 1: SISU - Horsholm 54-68

No shocking result in a game when Horsholm (1-0) beat SISU (1-1) in Copenhagen 68-54 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. SISU was better in second period 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsholm forced 21 SISU turnovers. It was a very good performance for international forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Chelsea Jennings (175-94, college: Texas A&M) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Aubrey Buckley (187-95, college: Missouri St.) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for SISU. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Horsholm will face Lemvig (#4) on the road in the next round. SISU will play against Stevnsgade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
