An interesting game for Steaua B. (4-2) which hosted in Bucuresti one of their biggest challengers Phoenix Galati (2-4). Third ranked Steaua B. had an easy win 94-64. The game without a history. Steaua B. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Skylar Spencer (206-94, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Andrei Mandache (190-87) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Five Steaua B. players scored in double figures. Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (204-93, agency: Alti Sport) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Mark Dorris (188-85, college: Marshall) added 15 points in the effort for Phoenix Galati. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Steaua B. maintains third position with 4-2 record having eighteen points less than leader Targu Mures. Loser Phoenix Galati keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Steaua B. will face Constanta (#6) on the road in the next round. Phoenix Galati will play against Medias and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
