Very important is a road loss of second ranked Suduva-Mantinga (29-12) against sixth ranked Perlas (21-19) on Friday night. Visiting Suduva-Mantinga was defeated by Perlas in a tough game in Vilnius 70-77. Forward Simas Jarumbauskas (197-0, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and power forward Lukas Kvedaravicius (207-97) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Perlas' coach Arvydas Gronskis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side the former international Aurimas Kieza (199-82, college: Hofstra) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) scored 15 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Five Perlas and four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Perlas moved-up to fifth place. Loser Suduva-Mantinga keeps the second position with 12 games lost. Perlas will meet Silute (#7) on the road in the next round. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Telsiai (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
