There was no surprise when 14th ranked Istanbul BBSK (4-14) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Galatasaray (10-8) 93-74 on Saturday. Galatasaray made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Istanbul BBSK's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Nigel Hayes (203-94, college: Wisconsin) who scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky) chipped in 27 points and 6 assists. Galatasaray's coach Ertugrul Erdogan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Semih Erden (211-86) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Tu Holloway (183-89, college: Xavier) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Istanbul BBSK players scored in double figures. Galatasaray moved-up to sixth place. Loser Istanbul BBSK dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost.
