Regular Season Round 27: Trier - Rostock 82-74

The game between third ranked Rostock (17-10) and seventh ranked Gladiators (15-12) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Rostock was defeated by Gladiators in a tough game in Trier 74-82. Gladiators looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Jamaican-Canadian forward Jermaine Bucknor (201-83, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Martin Bogdanov (186-92) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiators have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ehingen. Newly promoted Rostock dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Gladiators is looking forward to face higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rostock will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule and is hoping to win this game.
