Regular Season Round 21: Siauliu - V.Knasiaus KM 68-65

The most exciting game of round 21 in the U18 League took place in Siauliai. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed V.Knasiaus KM (13-4) to third ranked Siauliu (15-3) 68-65 on Sunday evening. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Siauliu outrebounded V.Knasiaus KM 56-43 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for forward Edvinas Daunys (202-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Aras Jukna (204-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Five Siauliu players scored in double figures. Oskaras Pleikys (-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds and Arijus Adomauskas (190-1) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for V.Knasiaus KM. Siauliu have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Perkunas. V.Knasiaus KM at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Siauliu is looking forward to face Sostines (#9) in Vilniaus in the next round and are hoping to win another game. V.Knasiaus KM will play at home against the league's leader Vilniaus Silputa (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
