Second Stage Round 2: Horsholm - Stevnsgade 85-60

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Stevnsgade (1-1) on the court of Horsholm on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Horsholm 85-60. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. Stevnsgade managed to win third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsholm dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Stevnsgade's players. Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian forward Meg Wilson (188-94, college: Simon Fraser) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Forward Mathilde Colding-Poulsen (176-95) responded with 25 points and the former international guard Rikke Fabricius (184-92, college: Cent.Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Horsholm is looking forward to face SISU (#3) in Copenhagen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Stevnsgade will play on the road against Lemvig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
