Very important is a road loss of third ranked Oradea (12-10) against sixth ranked Alexandria (5-17) on Friday night. Visiting Oradea was crushed by Alexandria in Alexandria 70-43. The game without a history. Alexandria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alexandria forced 38 Oradea turnovers and had a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Catalina Craciunescu who helped to win the game recording 23 points and Mihaela Mazilu (-1) who added 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Nicolett Orban (190-0) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and center Anisia Croitoru (182-3) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alexandria maintains sixth position with 5-17 record. Oradea lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the third place with ten games lost. Alexandria will play against higher ranked Targu Secuiesc (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Oradea will play against the league's leader Rapid Bucuresti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
