Second Stage Round 2: Lemvig - Horsholm 67-78

The game between Top Four teams took place in Lemvig. host Lemvig (0-2) lost to Horsholm (3-0) 78-67. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-67. Horsholm dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lemvig's 32. Canadian forward Meg Wilson (188-94, college: Simon Fraser) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Natalee Faupel (178-95, college: MSU-Northern) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Makenzie Miller (-95, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Horsholm will face SISU (#3) in Copenhagen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lemvig will play at home against Stevnsgade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
