Seventh-ranked Braunschweig (12-12) gave a tough game to third ranked SC Rasta Vechta (18-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Vechta managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Braunschweig. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard TJ Bray (196-92, college: Princeton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists and Seth Hinrichs (201-93, college: Lafayette) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-89, college: Fort Lewis, agency: BeoBasket) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. SC Rasta Vechta have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted SC Rasta Vechta maintains third position with 18-6 record having just two points less than leader B.Muenchen.
