Rather expected game in Tuebingen where 11th ranked Walter Tigers (13-15) were defeated by eighth ranked Lions (15-13) 100-94 on Saturday. Lions outrebounded Walter Tigers 45-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. American guard Davonte Lacy (193-93, college: Washington St.) fired 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The other American import forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Bosnian forward Bozo Djurasovic (201-87) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Five Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Lions maintains eighth position with 15-13 record, which they share with Phoenix Hagen. Loser Walter Tigers dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost. Lions will face higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Walter Tigers will play against Baunach (#16) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the BBL just one year after relegation.
