Regular Season Round 25: TAC NEF - Banvit 67-91

An interesting game for Banvit (22-1) which played road game in Tarsus against 4th placed TAC NEF (10-13). First ranked Banvit had an easy win 91-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TAC NEF. Banvit dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to TAC NEF's 34. They outrebounded TAC NEF 47-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Center Sadik Kabaca (208-0) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Banvit players scored in double figures. Faik Kasikci (-0) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals and Dogukan Gokce (-1) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Banvit have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-1 record. TAC NEF at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost. Banvit's next round opponent will be Turk Telekom (#6) in Ankara which should be theoretically another easy game. TAC NEF will play on the road against Darussafaka in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
