Regular Season Round 21: Chemnitz - Donau-Ries 80-63

Date: March 16, 2019
Bottom-ranked ChemCats Chemnitz managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses. This time they won against eighth-ranked XCYDE Angels Noerdlingen 80-63. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference proves that ChemCats Chemnitz was well-prepared to that game. American forward Maya Hood (178-94, college: San Diego) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import guard Ana Owens (168-96, college: Cincinnati) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four ChemCats Chemnitz players scored in double figures. ChemCats Chemnitz's coach Amanda Davidson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and international forward Luisa Geiselsoeder (189-0) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. ChemCats Chemnitz (5-15) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Saarlouis. XCYDE Angels Noerdlingen lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Braunschweig.
