The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Anadolu Efes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anadolu Efes defeated 12th ranked Buyukcekmece in Istanbul 98-81. They outrebounded Buyukcekmece 45-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for German center Tibor Pleiss (217-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds.
