There was no surprise when 12th ranked Giessen 46ers (11-13) were defeated at home by fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (16-5) 101-96 on Sunday. ALBA Berlin dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Giessen 46ers' 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was guard Derrick Walton-Jr (185-95, college: Michigan) who scored 17 points and 7 assists. Point guard Peyton Siva (183-90, college: Louisville) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center John Bryant (211-87, college: Santa Clara) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Jared Jordan (187-84, college: Marist) added 8 points and 12 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ALBA Berlin maintains fifth position with 16-5 record.
