The game in Kirovograd was also worth to mention about. Second ranked KDPU (23-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Zolotoi Vek (12-20). KDPU did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 96-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zolotoi Vek. It looked good early as Zolotoi Vek took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then KDPU had a 29-26 second period charge getting the lead and Zolotoi Vek was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-96. KDPU made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Zolotoi Vek only scored four points from the stripe. KDPU forced 22 Zolotoi Vek turnovers and outrebounded them 45-28 including 18 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Zolotoi Vek helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Vladyslav Frolov (202-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Vladyslav Unhuryan (190-95) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four KDPU players scored in double figures. Swingman Oleksandr Petrov (191-89) answered with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Dmytro Baranov (202-94) added 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Zolotoi Vek. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted KDPU maintains second place with 23-8 record having eleven points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU. Zolotoi Vek at the other side keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost.
