Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ruhr (10-6) against seventh ranked BA Weser-Ems (6-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Ruhr was defeated by BA Weser-Ems in Oldenburg 76-63. The winners were led by point guard Melvin Papenfuss (187-0) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and center Norris Agbakoko (215-0) supported him with 14 points and 24 rebounds. Even 9 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Alexander Winck (195-0) did not help to save the game for Ruhr. Point guard Felipe Galvez-Braatz (178-0) added 11 points for the guests. Ruhr's coach Thorsten Morzuch rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. BA Weser-Ems maintains seventh position in Group 2 with 6-10 record. Ruhr at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with ROTH Energie.
