Regular Season Round 20: FC Bayern - Muenchen Akad. 75-73

There was a change at the NBBL leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 20 was a defeat of league's leader Akademie Muenchen (11-2). They were edged by top-ranked FC Bayern (11-0) 75-73 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Akademie Muenchen. 25 personal fouls committed by Akademie Muenchen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jason George (201-1) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and Bruno Vrcic (197-0) who added 14 points during the contest. FC Bayern's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Joshua Obiesie (198-0) responded with 24 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Jens-Oliver Grossmann (204-0) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. FC Bayern have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group 4 leader. Akademie Muenchen at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Ludwigsburg BBA. They were replaced at the leadership position by ALBA Berlin.
