Vidabasket has finally registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Rilski 2 (3-2) 86-61 on Sunday. They outrebounded Rilski 2 49-29 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Teodor Nikolov (194-95) fired 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Julian Kolev (194-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Four Vidabasket players scored in double figures. Swingman Miroslav Vasov (199-98) produced 10 points and 4 assists and point guard Plamen Stefanov (183-0) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Rilski 2's coach Borislav Trifonov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vidabasket maintains ninth position with 1-3 record. Loser Rilski 2 dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Vidabasket will meet higher ranked Champion 2006 (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rilski 2 will play against Shumen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
