Second ranked Voluntari blasted bottom-ranked Constanta (0-8) in Constanta 91-66 on Wednesday evening. Constanta is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Voluntari. Constanta was better in fourth quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Voluntari dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Constanta's 30. They outrebounded Constanta 56-32 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Voluntari looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Mario Lazar (201-94) who scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Dinamo B. Constanta at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with eight games lost. Voluntari will face Steaua B. (#3) in Bucuresti in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Constanta will play on the road against Phoenix Galati and hopes to get finally their first victory.
