Second Stage Round 3: Vaerlose - Amager 72-82

An exciting game was played in Vaerlose. Amager faced Vaerlose. Guests from Kastrup (3-1) defeated host Vaerlose (1-3) 82-72. Vaerlose was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 42-30 second half run of Amager. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Vaerlose turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American-Samoan Geraldynn Leaupepe (-96) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Vaerlose's coach Thomas Hemmingsen tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Amager's next round opponent will be Aabyhoj on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against Herlev and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
