Regular Season Round 25: Zaporizhye - Khimik 93-82

Superleague round 25 caused change at the leadership position. Ninth defeat of league's leader Khimik (19-9) against second ranked Zaporizhye (19-9) 93-82 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Zaporizhye. Khimik managed to win third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zaporizhye won last quarter 23-13. Strangely Khimik outrebounded Zaporizhye 36-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Malique Trent (189-94, college: Hampton) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Zaporizhye players scored in double figures. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-92, college: Kent St., agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Illya Sidorov (184-96) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Khimik. Zaporizhye have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Khimik.
