There was no surprise when 11th ranked Artvin Bld (10-14) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Sigortam.net ITU (14-10) 90-75 on Friday. Sigortam.net ITU outrebounded Artvin Bld 39-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Jerome Frink (201-93, college: LIU Brooklyn) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Cenk Akyol (198-87, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) who recorded 27 points and American-Azerbaijani forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St., agency: HMS) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Five Sigortam.net ITU and four Artvin Bld players scored in double figures. Artvin Bld's coach let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
