Regular Season Round 26: Bamberg - Oberhaching 71-83

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Oberhaching (18-4) won against on the road 7th ranked Bamberg (11-12) 83-71 on Saturday. They outrebounded Bamberg 45-27 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Czech point guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Serbian guard Ognjen Zoric (188-90, college: Bridgeport) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Boyer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Oberhaching players scored in double figures. Forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Michael Lachmann (192-89) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Bamberg's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oberhaching maintains first position in South-East with 18-4 record. Bamberg lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Oberhaching will face Schwabing (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Bamberg will play against TSV Troester in Breitenguessbach and hope to win that game.
